Ukrainian drones attacked an oil refinery in the Novominskaya station of the Krasnodar Territory on the night of Wednesday, February 5. This was reported by the governor of the region, Veniamin Kondratyev, on his Telegram channel.
“The drone fragments fell on a tank with small residues of oil products. A fire broke out,” the official wrote, noting that “the fire is under control.”
Novominskaya station is home to the only oil refinery, OJSC “Albashneft”. It was opened in 2010, and the plant produces up to 320 thousand tons of oil products per year. The refinery has eight tanks with a capacity of 9 to 10.3 thousand cubic meters.
The drones covered a distance of at least 230 km
The plant is located 115 km south of Rostov-on-Don and 40 km from the coast of the Sea of Azov. The distance from there to the territory controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine is more than 230 km.
The Astra Telegram channel published a video of the fire at the plant. According to the video, at least one fuel tank was completely engulfed in flames. According to local residents, the fire had not yet been extinguished as of 08:15 Tashkent time. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
