Israel and the US are discussing new plans for Gaza

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has ordered the development of a plan to allow Gazans to voluntarily leave the Palestinian territory and travel to countries willing to accept them. He announced this on February 6 on the X social network.

Israel's position on Gaza

Katz noted that the plan would include exit routes through the border, as well as special mechanisms for sea and air transport.

He also supported the initiative of US President Donald Trump, stating that it would create new opportunities for Gazans and serve to rebuild the region with the help of host countries. However, this process could take several years.

According to Katz, Hamas is using the population as human shields, preventing them from leaving Gaza. He stressed that the people of Gaza should have the same right to freedom of movement and migration as other people.

The Israeli minister mentioned countries such as Spain, Ireland, Norway and Canada as countries that could accept the people of Gaza. If these countries refuse to accept them, their hypocrisy will be exposed, Katz said.

Trump: US will take control of the Gaza Strip

US President Donald Trump discussed his plan to take control of the Gaza Strip during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on February 4. According to the Associated Press, Trump said:

"The United States will take control of the Gaza Strip, and it will be responsible for dismantling all dangerous weapons there," he said.

According to Trump's plan:

✔ The US will implement a plan to develop Gaza and create thousands of jobs.
✔ The region will be rebuilt as a "Riviera" in the Middle East.
✔ The Gaza Strip could become a home for "the people of the world."

When asked if US troops should be sent to Gaza, Trump replied, "We'll do what's necessary."

He also said he planned to visit Israel, Gaza, and Saudi Arabia.
