Erdogan: Turkey is the best place for Ukraine talks

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said after a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that Turkey could be the best place to hold talks on the Ukraine issue, Anadolu Agency reported.

According to Erdogan, former US President Donald Trump's peace initiatives have many similarities with Turkey's policy on Ukraine.

He also promised to support any dialogue aimed at ending the conflict in Ukraine with a lasting peace, recalling his talks with Zelensky.

On February 18, talks were held in Riyadh between the Russian and US delegations. After that, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that the meeting with the US representatives was productive, and that the parties had the opportunity not only to listen, but also to understand each other.
