Trump says he spoke with Putin by phone

US President Donald Trump announced that he had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on March 13. He reported this on his Truth Social social network.

Trump described the conversation with the Russian President as “good and productive”. According to him, there is a chance to end the conflict in Ukraine.

“Yesterday we had a very good and productive conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. There is a very good chance to end this terrible and bloody war. Right now, thousands of Ukrainian soldiers are completely surrounded by Russian troops and are in a very bad and defenseless situation.
