Trump hosted a $1 million private dinner at his residence
US President Donald Trump hosted a private dinner at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, where billionaire Elon Musk also attended. Each guest at the dinner was offered $1 million, Wired reported.

Elon Musk also attended the event with Siobhan Zilis, who served on the OpenAI board of directors from 2016 to 2023. Zilis is the mother of Musk's four children. Musk was reportedly seated at the table next to Trump at the dinner.

According to Wired, the event was not part of the US president's official program and was different from the March 1 meeting that followed. The suggested price for attending the dinner was $1 million, and businessmen can also negotiate for $5 million to have a private meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

Musk also currently serves as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). He previously said that DOGE fired thousands of federal employees, including veterans of the civil service. The United States has sharply reduced aid to other countries.

The New York Times reported on March 12 that Elon Musk will invest $100 million in political organizations under the Trump administration. It was known that these organizations include Make America Great Again Inc. and Securing American Greatness. They were founded by close Trump supporters.

This dinner and Musk's relationship with Trump also contribute to further strengthening serious ties in the political and business spheres.
