Work in Altai! Our compatriots are preparing to start working in Russia

Another practical step between Uzbekistan and Russia: Now our compatriots can carry out official labor activities at large enterprises of the Altai Territory. This was announced during negotiations initiated by the Novosibirsk Representative Office of the Migration Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers and the Consulate General of Uzbekistan.

Online meeting, great result

Bilaterally beneficial agreements were reached during the online negotiations. It was attended by:

The leadership of the Altai government,
leading companies such as “Tselina”, “Rikon”, “Aleiskzernoproduct”, “Agrofirm Harvest”,
and officials of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan.

It is noteworthy that representatives of the Altai government announced that it is planned to attract 11 thousand foreign workers by the end of 2024. More than 6 thousand of them will be citizens of Uzbekistan. This indicates that our compatriots are in high demand in the labor market.

In what areas can you work?

The Altai side stated that there is a need for workers in the following areas:
- Construction;
- Industry;
- Agriculture and its processing;
- Trade and other service sectors.

Organizations accepting labor migrants stated that they are ready to comply with all clauses of labor contracts.

The goal is to protect labor migrants

During the negotiations, the Consul General of Uzbekistan Aslam Akbarov paid special attention to protecting the interests of compatriots:

“The most important thing is to fully comply with labor contracts and protect the rights of our citizens.”

Labor patents are issued to the largest number of Uzbeks

According to data, two-thirds of labor patents issued in 2024 were issued to Uzbek citizens. This is evidence of the trust and need of Russian employers for our compatriots.
