
An unexpected incident occurred at the international exhibition "Expo-2025" in Osaka, Japan. An 83-year-old man was caught trying to steal Kyrgyz honey displayed at the exhibition grounds. This was reported by the Japanese newspaper Asahi.
According to the report, the incident occurred in Hall A on April 16 in the afternoon. A security guard noticed the man trying to hide a jar of honey and immediately stopped him. The price of the honey is set at 6,800 yen (approximately 618 thousand soums).
According to exhibition staff, the man fell while trying to escape, breaking the jar of honey. He is also suspected of stealing beer and other products from other pavilions. Additional investigations are currently underway by the police.
According to reports, this is the first arrest recorded within the framework of the Expo 2025 exhibition.
It is worth recalling that this year's Osaka Expo is dedicated to the theme of the future society, and about 160 countries and international organizations are participating in it.
