Kim Jong-un expressed his readiness to provide military assistance in the event of an attack by the United States on Russia
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has said he is ready to send his country's military to counter any military aggression against Russia by the United States or its allies.

"This is our duty of brotherhood and fraternity, and I consider it sacred," the North Korean leader said during a visit to the Russian Embassy in the DPRK on May 9.

Kim Jong-un stressed that if the United States is left unchecked, its dangerous and provocative actions may increase. He believes that in such a situation, South Korea, considered a close ally of the United States, may also seek to commit similar actions as Washington's "companion."

"Such unreasonable actions can spread quickly like a highly contagious virus," Kim Jong-un warned.

The North Korean leader assessed the participation of the country's military in the conflict in Ukraine as a sovereign and just decision.

We remind you that yesterday, on May 9, Alexander Matsegora, the ambassador of Russia to the DPRK, announced that monuments dedicated to the memory of North Korean servicemen who "participated in the operation to liberate territories from the armed forces of Ukraine" are being erected in Kursk region. Also, reconstructed streets and squares in the Kursk region will be named after North Korean soldiers who participated in these hostilities.
