
Uzbekistan may introduce a 30-day visa-free regime for US citizens, Nova24.uz reports.
On May 15, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On measures to enhance the role of tourism in the economy for 2025–2026.” The decree includes plans to host the “Central Asia — European Union” tourism forum in October–November 2025 and the “Destination — Karakalpakstan” forum in April 2026.
The President also instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to initiate negotiations and submit proposals within three months for introducing visa-free entry for US citizens for up to 30 days and easing visa requirements for Uzbek citizens entering the US.
Additionally, citizens of Russia, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan may be allowed to enter Uzbekistan for up to 30 days using internal identification documents, including “child passports” for those under 16. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
