
Kazakhstan will create a pilot district called CryptoCity where residents can freely use cryptocurrency for everyday needs like shopping and services, Nova24.uz reported via PROFIT.
The initiative was announced by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the AIF2025 international forum in Astana. According to him, the zone will integrate crypto into daily life.
He also revealed that the most powerful supercomputer in Central Asia has been delivered to Kazakhstan. The country is focusing heavily on artificial intelligence and aims to become a regional academic and innovation hub.
Minister of Digital Development Zhaslan Madiev added that several potential locations are being considered for CryptoCity, including Alatau smart city, Borovoe resort, or the EXPO zone in Astana.
