With the World Cup just around the corner, Uzbek fans in the UAE are under pressure!
Tensions are rising ahead of the decisive World Cup qualifier between Uzbekistan and the UAE in Abu Dhabi on June 5. But this tension is being felt outside the football field, at airports and among fans. It is understood that many Uzbek journalists and fans who traveled to the UAE were detained for hours without any official explanation, and some were left in difficult conditions at airports for up to a day.

According to available information, these situations at the airports in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are still ongoing. Some journalists have reportedly been warned of possible deportation from the country, without giving any specific explanation. However, no official statement has been made by UAE officials regarding these situations.

According to a reliable source in Abu Dhabi for Daryo, the diplomatic consulates of Uzbekistan in the UAE were forced to intervene in order to resolve the situation. The deportation orders issued against some journalists were canceled with the intervention of diplomats, and they were able to enter the country. At the same time, diplomatic representatives continue to work with other Uzbeks who have encountered difficulties at the airports.

However, the main question that further complicates the situation remains unanswered: why are such restrictions being imposed on Uzbek fans and journalists on the eve of a football match?

Analysts and journalists believe that these are not random checks or disciplinary measures, but rather psychological pressure and attempts to break the opponent's spirit.

According to Uzbek journalist Shukhrat Shokirjanov, an Uzbek businessman operating in the UAE was summoned to the local police station. There, the businessman was given a serious warning about the possibility of deportation from the country if his employees attend a football match and demonstrate collective support, and an official receipt was signed. This indicates that the situation is not simple.

According to some reports, Uzbek fans may also be banned from bringing national flags, hoops, and sound equipment such as trumpets into the stadium. Such restrictions contradict the principles of sports and the rights of fans.

Journalist Azamat Umarov also expressed his opinion on this subject. According to him, the restrictions imposed on Uzbek fans are completely inconsistent with the spirit of sportsmanship and are clearly motivated by political and psychological pressure.

Television journalist Hasan Turdialiev described the gravity of the situation on his Telegram channel. He also reported that several Uzbeks were detained at the UAE airport and their passports were confiscated without any reason. Even the intervention of the consulate did not allow for a quick solution.

According to the original rules of football, competition should take place only on the field. However, the situation in the UAE raises very big questions from the point of view of football ethics and fans' rights. Our national team, led by Temur Kapadze, is required to maintain its morale and focus on an important match, despite such external pressure.

Despite such pressure, it is hoped that the Uzbek national team is ready for the game and that these difficulties will not affect the players' mood. Let only clean football on the field be decisive!
