According to the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the dialogue focused on such pressing areas as visa facilitation, encouraging humanitarian and business exchanges, updating recommendations in the field of security, and expanding partnership in the areas of labor migration and tourism.

In his speech, Hisashi Matsumoto emphasized that Japan considers Uzbekistan one of the most important partners in Central Asia.
