The Israeli Freedom of Information movement has demanded the immediate release of a full and independent medical report on the health of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's Channel 12 reported on June 9.
The movement's leader, Hiday Negev, sharply criticized the prime minister's office, accusing it of hiding important information about his medical condition from the public. According to Negev, the last official report on Netanyahu's health was issued in February 2025, which noted that the prime minister was not fully dependent on a pacemaker installed in July 2023 and that there were no signs of heart failure.
"Netanyahu is now over 75 years old. There are various suspicions and speculations in the public about his physical and mental health. That is why we believe that an independent, transparent and detailed medical report should be published," Negev said in a statement.
The movement notes that since 2023, Netanyahu has been accompanied by a team of doctors on all his trips abroad, including to the United States. This has further increased public concern about the prime minister's health.
In addition, the article quotes the words of the former president of the European Society of Cardiology, renowned cardiologist Professor Yehuda Adler. In his opinion, Netanyahu has a serious heart condition and the pacemaker was not installed in vain:
"A pacemaker is a life-saving device. If it suddenly stops working, it is extremely important to have a specialist nearby who can immediately provide professional medical assistance," Professor Adler emphasized the seriousness of the situation.
Benjamin Netanyahu is the longest-serving politician in Israeli history. He had a pacemaker implanted in July 2023 and underwent prostate surgery in December 2024.
As concerns about Netanyahu's health continue to grow in Israel, calls for an independent and transparent report from official agencies are being widely discussed in public and political circles. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
