A farmer from Andhra Pradesh, known for its distinctive hue, suddenly found a precious diamond in a field and became wealthy in an instant. The Times of India reported this event to the public.
These days, heavy rains in the region washed away the topsoil, exposing hidden stones on the surface of the earth. At that moment, the farmer, while working his field, noticed the diamond emerging from the ground, dug it out, and earned nearly 22 million soms (150 000 rupees).
Naturally, this remarkable find quickly sparked rumors of gold among local residents, and whole families from the Kurnul village began flocking to the field in search of treasure. Some brought food supplies and wandered the fields for hours, gradually searching like true fortune seekers.
Experts from Kurnul say that such discoveries are extremely rare in this region, and one cannot expect that everyone will find such luck. In other words, the farmer's fortune was the result of a natural coincidence and the subtle extravagance of the surrounding environment.
However, people's selfish drive to search for diamonds has disrupted peace and order in the village. Some community activists emphasize the need for patrolling this situation. They demand that treasure seekers not be provided with household aid, and that safety measures be strengthened.
Experts, on the other hand, say that behind this vague find lies not so much a "campaign", but rather a test of “labor and chance”. One of them said: “We will reduce the number of random diamond seekers, because this may lead to significant misfortune and health problems. Not every person is suited for this role, and first of all the nature, infrastructure, and villagers’ protection should come first.” Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
