Iran sent a clear signal to Israel with the “Sijjil” missile
Tensions between Iran and Israel are once again escalating. This time, the clear and terrifying signal from Tehran is the launch of the “Sijjil” ballistic missile, capable of flying 2000 kilometers. This was announced in an official statement by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Iran has, for the first time, directly responded to Israel using a medium-range missile of this type. The “Sijjil” is a two-stage, solid-fuel ballistic missile capable of striking targets within a 2000 km range. It moves with high accuracy and speed, reaching 12–14 Mach upon re-entry into the atmosphere.

Iran’s state-run news agency “Tasnim” released a video showing the launch of the missile. According to many military analysts, this may be the first real combat use of the “Sijjil” missile — all previous launches were either tests or exercises.

The “Sijjil” is not only an effective missile but is also considered by experts to be a dangerous weapon capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

Israel’s response: “None of the missiles reached their targets”

On the other hand, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued a rapid statement regarding the incident. Officials claim that all missiles and drones launched today were intercepted in the air using the Iron Dome and Arrow 3 defense systems.

Israeli authorities also labeled the move a “provocation” and stated that firm measures would be taken against any threats.

“Sijjil” – advanced and dangerous technology

The missile was first tested in 2008. It is highly maneuverable and capable of operating effectively under various atmospheric conditions. Iranian forces consider this missile a vital part of both their defense and offensive strategies.

The “Sijjil” poses a threat not just to one country but to any strategic target in the entire region.

Currently, international military observers and analysts view this situation as a factor further complicating the already tense environment in the Middle East. The UN and several Western nations are conducting serious diplomatic consultations regarding the situation.
