Against the backdrop of serious geopolitical tension in the Middle East, it has become known that Iran has changed its additional war strategy. According to a high-ranking Iranian source interviewed by CNN, Tehran has not reduced its missile reserves, but is now focusing on precision and effectiveness in its strikes.
"Israel will certainly not be pleased," the source said. According to him, instead of raining down hundreds of missiles as before, Iran now aims at strategically important military and intelligence targets. The main aspect of the current strategy is the use of highly accurate missiles.
The source added that the high-precision missiles launched by Iran easily bypassed the US-based THAAD and Patriot systems, as well as Israel's Arrow 3, Arrow 2, David's Sling, and the famous Iron Dome defense systems, hitting designated targets directly. This shows that Iran's military capability and tactical options have risen to a new stage.
For reference, in response to the large-scale military operations initiated by Israel on June 13, Iran fired more than 100 missiles. However, in the following days, the number of missiles decreased — at one time, five or fewer missiles were launched. Israeli news agencies, including Ynet, reported this. According to them, five ballistic missiles were used in the attack carried out on the night of June 21.
It should be noted that Iran is acting not only with missile strikes but also through cyberattacks. According to the former deputy director of Israel's National Cyber Directorate, Rafael Franco, Tehran is analyzing the effectiveness of its strikes by connecting online to private surveillance cameras in Israel. This is a new stage of information warfare.
At the same time, Israel is launching airstrikes on missile storage and launch bases in Iran. Israeli military aviation is also attacking nuclear facilities. This, in turn, increases the likelihood of an even more dangerous situation arising throughout the region.
Experts believe that this form of two-sided warfare indicates a transition to a "technically complex and politically dangerous" stage. Now, every strike affects not only military targets but also global political security. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
