Ukrainian expert in radio technology and unmanned aerial vehicles, Sergey Beskrestnov, posted a video on his Telegram channel showing that one of the people surrounding Russian President Vladimir Putin on Red Square was holding a drone. This incident has sparked widespread discussion on social media.
In the footage, President Putin can be seen in the background shaking hands with several military officers in parade uniforms, accompanied by Russia’s Defense Minister Andrei Belousov. However, the focus is on a man in a work suit standing a few meters away from the president. In his hand, partially hidden in a bag, a green-colored drone is clearly visible.
According to analysis by the online publication "Agentstvo," the video was filmed after the May 9 parade, and the man was holding a device resembling a "Yolka" interceptor drone. These types of drones are specifically designed to neutralize drones like the "Baba Yaga." Previously, such security equipment had not been seen in the hands of people at events attended by Putin.
The tightening of security measures in the country is being linked to recent attacks by Ukrainian drones. Since May, Russian authorities have regularly shut down mobile networks. This was initially explained as a safety measure during the 80th anniversary celebrations of the victory over Nazi Germany. However, the mobile network shutdowns have since become routine, drawing public attention.
