Macron: Ukraine's future cannot be decided without Ukrainians

French President Emmanuel Macron wrote on his X social media page that Ukraine’s future cannot be decided without the participation of Ukrainians. He added that European countries will also be an essential part of a peace solution in Ukraine, as the issue concerns Europe’s security as well.

Macron said he spoke with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz about the planned meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also reported holding a phone conversation with Macron and several European leaders.
