A tragic incident occurred in southern Ukraine’s Odessa region, a popular tourist destination. A mine exploded at Zatoka beach, killing several people. The news was first reported by Strana.ua.
According to the outlet’s Telegram channel, the explosion occurred in the water, about 50 meters from the shore. At the time, a person was in the sea and unfortunately did not survive.
Eyewitnesses reported that the sound of the blast was heard far along the beach, causing panic among holidaymakers.
Later, Odessa regional police clarified that there were two consecutive explosions during swimming, which killed one woman and two men.
