Zaporizhzhia hit by airstrikes: many civilians injured

On August 10, a very tragic incident occurred in the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia. Russian forces carried out two airstrikes from the air. This was officially reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov.

According to Fedorov, the Russian army used guided aerial bombs — devices of the KAB type. The first strike was directed at a bus station where many people were present. Noise and panic broke out there, and many people felt fear and anxiety. According to official data, a total of 19 people sustained bodily injuries of varying severity. Among them, the majority of the injured are considered to be in moderate condition.

The second strike was delivered to the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Medical University clinic. As Fedorov noted, fortunately, no one was injured in this attack. However, the list of those affected and damaged buildings expanded — it was determined that seven multi-story residential buildings and several non-residential premises were damaged.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his evening video address, strongly condemned this incident. According to him, such actions by Russia are not a single positive step toward peace. “Everyone can see — Russia is not taking any step that could preserve life on the ground or in the air. That’s why sanctions are needed, pressure is needed,” Zelensky said in a sharp statement.

This incident once again showed that Ukrainian cities are still under threat, and the population is forced to remain cautious every minute. At the same time, local services responded quickly, provided assistance to the injured, and strengthened security measures at the strike sites.
