In Tajikistan, a new figure has emerged in the spotlight of the political scene — the youngest daughter of the country's President Emomali Rahmon, Farzona Emomali. She has been appointed as the Head of the Department for Reforms, Primary Health Care, and International Relations of the central office of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population. This was reported by the ministry's press service.
According to the official statement, despite Farzona Emomali’s young age, the responsible position was entrusted to her in recognition of her professional skills and experience.

Since 2021, she has been working as a specialist in the same department. Farzona Emomali has managed to gain experience not only in the medical field but also in the area of international cooperation.
Biography and education
Farzona was born on July 4, 1998, in Dushanbe. She received her initial education at a local secondary school. Later, she studied at the lyceum of Lomonosov Moscow State University (Dushanbe branch) and graduated in 2014 with honors. In the same year, she entered the Faculty of Medicine at the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, graduating in 2020 with a diploma with honors.
In 2022, she completed a clinical residency in pediatrics, and in 2023 she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Public Administration at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Personal life
Farzona Emomali is a member of the People's Democratic Party of Tajikistan. She is unmarried but is raising one child.
Experts believe her new appointment could give fresh momentum to healthcare reforms in the country.
