9-year-old English boy Frankie Macmillan has been recognized as one of the youngest and most active climbers of our time. So far, he has conquered more than 700 mountain peaks, including the 10 highest in Europe, reports Pravilamag.
Frankie’s love for mountains began at the age of three. Since then, he has spent much of his time in the mountains together with his mother Basia. “We spend most of our lives in the mountains,” says Frankie’s mother.
This summer, the young climber scaled several famous peaks. Among them are Gerlach Peak in Slovakia (2655 m), Rysy Mountain in Poland (2499 m), and Sněžka in the Czech Republic (1603 m). Since June alone, Frankie and his mother have climbed 15 peaks, 11 of which are higher than 2000 meters.
Recently, Frankie signed a contract with Athlete Media Group and started his activity as a UN health ambassador. Despite the difficult conditions, early mornings, and even the risk of encountering bears, they are already making big plans for the next summer. In addition, they intend to organize a charity climb to one of the peaks.
