Starting from September 1, 2025, the procedure for registering the place of residence of foreign nationals in Moscow and surrounding areas will be updated. This time, various measures will be implemented using mobile technologies. As part of the new experimental regime, the "Amina" mobile application will automatically track the residence of migrant workers arriving from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, and Ukraine.
According to the new format of regional migration control, migrants in the capital will need to register their addresses using the "Amina" app. This application allows them to report location or address information in a way that is most convenient for them. If the data is not updated for several days, migrants will be notified to confirm or update their address.
One of the features of the app is that the user’s geolocation will be transmitted automatically. If the data is inaccurate or not updated for a long time, a notification will be sent. Following that, migrants will need to confirm or re-register their address, otherwise, they may be removed from the list.
To restore the address, migrants will need to authorize in the "Amina" app using passport data. If the documents are lost, authorization can be done through the data provided in the app.
In addition to address registration, the mobile app will also allow paying for patents or scheduling appointments at the MFC. In the future, the app will offer many additional services.
The most important thing is that the "Amina" app will help create convenience for migrants using modern technologies and will allow citizens to easily and quickly update their place of residence information.
