On September 7, Russians will witness a total lunar eclipse

On September 7, residents of Russia will witness a total lunar eclipse. This was reported by “TASS” with reference to Lyudmila Koshman, head of the methodological support department of the Moscow Planetarium.

According to astronomers, the natural phenomenon will be visible from 18:28 to 23:55 Moscow time. The phase when the Moon will be completely in the Earth’s shadow will last for almost one and a half hours (from 20:31 to 21:53). The peak of the eclipse will occur at 21:12.

According to Koshman, this phenomenon can be clearly observed from anywhere in Russia if the weather is cloudless. Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Sergey Bogachev added in the “Beware, Moscow” Telegram channel that the natural phenomenon can also be observed with the naked eye.
