Italy does not intend to send troops to Ukraine

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni openly stated her position after the meeting of the “coalition of the willing.” According to her, Rome will not deploy military forces to the territory of Ukraine.

At the same time, Meloni emphasized that Italy is still ready to contribute to the peace process.

“We are ready to support the ceasefire process through monitoring and training initiatives carried out outside Ukraine,” she said.

Thus, Italy made it clear that it will participate not with troops, but through diplomatic and technical assistance.
