The Israeli army has issued an official statement regarding the latest missiles launched by the Gaza Strip. It was reported that on September 6, 2025, two missiles were launched from Gaza towards Israeli territory. One of them was successfully intercepted by Israel's air defense system, while the other landed in an open area.
According to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), this situation occurred after air raid sirens rang out in and around the city of Netivot due to rockets fired from the center of the Gaza Strip. According to a statement released via Telegram, the first missile was destroyed en route using an Iron Dome air defense system, while the second fell into an uninhabited area.
This event is taking place against the backdrop of a long-standing conflict between Israel and Palestine. Recall that on October 7, 2023, the Hamas movement launched a large-scale missile attack on Israel. At that time, thousands of rockets were fired, and Hamas militants crossed the border and launched armed attacks on the military and civilians. As a result of the attack, about 1,200 people on the Israeli side were killed, and more than 200 people were taken hostage.
Since then, Israel's retaliatory operations against Gaza have not ceased. Airstrikes carried out by Israel during military operations are causing heavy losses in Gaza.
