Polish airports are temporarily closed due to Russian drones.

On the night of September 10, as a result of mass drone attacks by Russia on Ukraine, the Polish government was forced to temporarily close several important airports due to "unscheduled military actions."

Specifically, the Jeshuv-Jasenka and Lublin international airports, as well as both Warsaw airports, were forcibly closed to traffic. This was announced in an operational and official announcement from the aviation personnel (NOTAM).

The Polish Aviation Department explained that these measures are being implemented "to ensure national security and eliminate potential risks arising from unscheduled military actions."

Also, the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland announced on the social network X that all necessary procedures and rules for the reliable protection of airspace have been activated. According to reports, not only Polish fighter jets but also military aircraft belonging to other NATO member states took off.

In addition, the ground defense forces were also brought to a state of high readiness. These measures were taken by the Polish government to ensure the country's security and the peace of the population.

It should be noted that the Jeshuv-Yasenka airport serves as the main logistics hub for the delivery of Western aid to Ukraine, therefore its temporary closure is also being considered in international cooperation.
