Russia Threat: Polish Army Strengthens
In Poland, concerns about Russia have grown, leading many citizens to join voluntary military training. This year alone, more than 20,000 people have taken part in the exercises, and by the end of the year this number is expected to reach 40,000.

The government has sharply increased defense spending, allocating 4.7% of GDP to the army. The Polish army currently has 216,000 personnel, ranking third in NATO after the United States and Turkey.

In recent years, military units and defense facilities in the eastern regions of the country have been reinforced.

According to experts, Poles are sensitive to the Russian threat due to historical experience. Therefore, the increase in volunteers and government measures are strengthening the country’s defense.
