Discrimination Against Immigrant Drivers in the US

Following this incident, pressure has increased on Indian drivers in the US. Some are afraid to travel to certain states, while others face insults and harassment on the road.

Indian drivers hold a significant share in the US trucking industry. According to official data, between 750,000 and 150,000 of them work as truck drivers.

Experts emphasize that one person’s mistake should not be attributed to the entire community. They believe the issue should be addressed through fair regulation of language and licensing requirements.
