Strikes in Gaza intensify, dozens killed
The Israeli army carried out heavy strikes on Gaza City over the weekend. According to local sources, at least 60 Palestinians were killed in the attacks. Strikes on buildings and underground tunnels are forcing residents to flee once again.

These events occurred ahead of the U.N. assembly, as ten countries, including Britain and Canada, are preparing to recognize the state of Palestine. Israeli forces have taken control of eastern Gaza City and continue to advance toward the center.

Israel said it demolished about twenty high-rise buildings in the past two weeks, but Hamas denied this. According to Hamas, nearly 900,000 people remain in Gaza, including Israeli hostages.

The Gaza health authority reported that over 65,000 Palestinians have been killed in two years of war. Israel questioned these figures and blamed Hamas for the casualties.
