The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that in response to the Ukrainian army's attack on Crimea, it struck targeted targets in the Odessa region. The Russian Armed Forces stated that they carried out effective attacks against the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the "Ghost" unit of Ukrainian military intelligence.
It is noted that Russia's response to these strikes was a terrorist attack on civilians in the city of Foros in the Republic of Crimea. The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasized that the attacks in this direction were carried out on the basis of its legal rights.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, SOF and "Ghosts" units attacked the annexed Crimea on September 22. These actions responded to the special targets and strategic objectives of the Ukrainian army, with strikes targeting the Shkolny airfield in the Odessa region and Ukrainian drone deployments.
It was also reported that the Motor Sich plant was also hit. Ukrainian drones used this airfield to attack Russia.
