US President Donald Trump, in his speech at the UN on Tuesday, warned European countries about problems related to uncontrolled immigration and climate change, stating that these problems are destroying Europe.
According to Trump, "It's time to stop this unsuccessful experiment with open borders [...] Your countries are heading towards hell." He listed the evidence common to immigration opponents that immigrants from other cultures and religions disrupted the culture, economy, and law and order of host countries, deteriorating security and economic stability in countries. Trump also noted that his administration has already stopped mass illegal immigration to the United States.
Trump also expressed his sympathy for refugees from troubled countries. "But we should not create problems in our own country, but solve problems in their countries," the US President stressed.
Speaking about the war in Ukraine, Trump repeated what he had said several times before: he expressed confidence that, thanks to his good relationship with Putin, this war would be easily stopped. Trump stated that the US is now ready to offer European countries to stop purchasing oil and gas from Russia.
"You must immediately stop purchasing energy carriers from Russia. Otherwise, we will be wasting a lot of our time," Trump said. According to him, he recently learned that Europe is still buying energy carriers from Russia, and learning about this was an unpleasant surprise for Europeans.
According to Trump, the second reason Europe is "going to hell" is the policy of transitioning to "green energy" to combat climate change. He called renewable energy sources, particularly wind power plants, nonsense and a very expensive business. Additionally, the UN described apocalyptic predictions about the consequences of climate change as "the biggest fraud" in the last forty years.
