North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of the Pyongyang General Hospital and personally familiarized himself with the ongoing work. This was reported by the Korean Central News Agency.
It is reported that the construction of the hospital has been delayed for a year and a half, which caused strong dissatisfaction of the country's leader. According to Kim Jong Un, this situation was caused by the personal interests and excessive claims of some high-ranking officials, as well as the improper organizational work of the Cabinet of Ministers and the joint construction headquarters.
He emphasized that the officials completely disregarded state financial discipline and arbitrarily began construction work without the official approval of the budget. This led not only to large material losses, but also to the fact that the project was not completed within the established timeframe. Kim Jong Un accused them of indiscipline and a lack of political maturity.
At the same time, the North Korean leader expressed his opinion on the quality of the work done. He especially praised the unique architectural solutions and functional aspects of the hospital, noting that they will be a big step for the country's healthcare system.
This visit of Kim Jong Un once again demonstrated the importance of state control and discipline in North Korea.
