During his travels, Icelandic tourist John Sigurdsson witnessed an event he had never seen in his life and had never even imagined. In Labrador, he witnessed a real clash between a polar bear and a black bear, and this incident was accidentally recorded by a camera.
Stunning view on the shore
While Sigurdsson and his companions were traveling along the shore, a female polar bear and her two cubs were spotted. While they were walking peacefully in nature, an unexpected guest - a black bear - appeared from the high slope and began moving toward the polar bears.
The tourists realized that the incident would inevitably end in a collision. Indeed, after excessive silence, the female polar bear lunged at her opponent to protect her cubs and drove the black bear away.
Unique moment captured by camera
John Sigurdsson managed to capture this process with a camera. According to him, he had previously heard stories about a clash between a polar bear and a black bear in Labrador, but he had never personally witnessed such an event during his years of travel.
The most interesting thing is that until now, such an incident had not been presented to the public with camera confirmation. These scenes, for the first time in history, recorded a unique reality in nature as a concrete document.
Strict law of nature
Ecologists believe that such collisions rarely occur in nature. Because polar bears mainly live in glaciers, while black bears are more active in forest areas. However, climate change and the search for food can cause them to face each other in the same area.
Sigurdsson, however, did not hide his feelings: "I have been traveling in different countries for many years. But I've never seen or filmed anything like this. "This scene will remain one of the most unforgettable memories of my life," he said.
