The Illinois state administration and the Chicago city administration have officially filed a lawsuit against US President Donald Trump. This decision is related to Trump's previous decree to send 300 National Guard soldiers to Illinois.
Sources note that local authorities assessed this action as interference in state powers and viewed this decision as illegal, excessive interference by the federal government.
Along with the president himself, Interior Minister Christie Noyem and Defense Minister Pete Heggett are also participating in the court proceedings as defendants.
