In Iran, 11 cafes and restaurants that violated the hijab rule were closed

Cafes and restaurants in Iran that do not comply with Islamic values and rules of public morality have been suspended, the Telegram channel "Azad Iran" reported. According to reports, 11 establishments in Borujerd, Lorestan province, were closed for violating hijab rules and organizing a mixed celebration between men and women.

According to Borujerd City Police Chief Mehdi Mahdawi, inspections revealed violations of Islamic norms in these locations. For this reason, their activities have been temporarily suspended within the framework of the "Strengthening Public Order and Ensuring Social Discipline" program.

Mahdawi emphasized that these measures are aimed at protecting Islamic values in the country and ensuring strict adherence to ethical standards in public places. According to him, each institution will be held administratively liable for violating public morality and religious norms.

In recent months, the Iranian government has strengthened control over cases of non-compliance with hijab rules. As a result, dozens of cafes, beauty salons, and shopping centers in a number of cities were temporarily closed.

Local sources note that these strict measures in the country are causing disputes and discussions among some citizens. On the one hand, officials say that national values are being protected through this, and on the other hand, citizens emphasize that such control restricts personal freedom.

The Iranian government, however, remains firm in its position, stating that any institution that violates religious rules will be closed and held accountable.
