Powerbank caught fire on Air China flight

An unforeseen incident occurred on a plane belonging to Air China, which was flying from Hangzhou to Seoul. According to reports, a power bank lying in a suitcase in the cargo cabinet of the airliner, which was approximately 10 kilometers high, caught fire.

During the incident, there was a commotion among the passengers, and some tried to extinguish the fire by hand. Others recorded the incident on video.

According to investigations, the fire was caused by the spontaneous combustion of a lithium battery. The crew quickly responded to the emergency and extinguished the fire.

For the safety of all passengers, the plane made an emergency landing at Shanghai Airport. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
