Vinod Dongle, a lawyer and owner of a private school in Dhamnod, Madhya Pradesh, India, felt like a real billionaire for a few minutes.
According to him, this strange incident occurred after the opening of a new bank account. When Dongle entered the system, he was shocked to see that he had 28.1 billion rupees (about 3.5 million US dollars) in his account.
"I felt like I had won all the lotteries in the world at once. "It was a real miracle," he said, laughing.
According to the banking system, the account held 1,312 shares of Harsil Agro Limited, each valued at 21.4 million rupees ($258,000). That is, due to a technical error, hundreds of times higher values were indicated instead of real prices.
But the status of a happy "billionaire" did not last long. After a few minutes, the error was corrected, prices were restored to normal, and Vinod Dongle's fortune disappeared among the numbers.
Nevertheless, the lawyer viewed the incident positively. He laughed and recalled his experience, calling it a "short but pleasant moment of digital magic."
