400-year-old grapevine found in Tibet

The Guinness Book of Records officially recognized the 416-year-old grapevine, found in the Tibetan mountains, as the oldest in the world. This was reported by UPI.

During the study of vegetation in the area, a grapevine was discovered in the village of Zuoba, located at an altitude of more than 2.4 thousand meters above sea level. Later, the exact age of the plant was determined by scientists from the Wood Research Laboratory of China's Southwest Forestry University.

The diameter of the record-breaking tulip reaches seven meters and 50 centimeters.
