The legend of Portuguese football, Cristiano Ronaldo, has once again become a central figure on the world's most prestigious stages. This time, he was invited as an honored guest to a celebratory dinner organized by US President Donald Trump. The event was held on November 18 in the White House in honor of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad ibn Salman, with the participation of influential figures from around the world.
Ronaldo, who currently plays for Saudi Arabia's "An-Nasr," was present at this significant event among the largest representatives of the business world, such as Apple CEO Tim Cook and Tesla founder Elon Musk. This once again confirms that it is still in the center of global attention.
During the meeting, Trump expressed his sincere gratitude to Ronaldo for not refusing the invitation. At the same time, he openly noted that his 19-year-old son Berron is a fan of the footballer and jokingly added:
- My friend is a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. "And Ronaldo is here," he said to the clappers in the hall. "Barron probably respects me more, because I brought them together."
Trump also called Ronaldo the best football player of all time - G.O.A.T. This definition, naturally, became the subject of even greater public discussion.
It should be noted that the USA will host the 2026 Summer World Cup. It has also been confirmed that the Portugal national team has qualified for the World Cup. And for the 40-year-old Ronaldo, unlike other World Cups, this might be the last competition in his career.
As can be seen from his participation in the White House, Cristiano still remains the focus of attention not only in the football field but also in the global sports and political arena.
