
The great actor of Indian cinema, Dharmendra (full name - Dharmendra Kewal Krishan Deol), passed away at the age of 89. This was reported by the publication "Hindustan Times". According to the latest information, the actor was hospitalized in a clinic in Mumbai two weeks ago due to his deteriorating health, and the "Variety" newspaper wrote that he experienced breathing difficulties.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed sincere condolences to the actor's family. "The death of Dharmendra Ji signifies the end of an entire era in Indian cinema. He was a famous person, a phenomenal performer who brought charm and depth to every role he played," Modi wrote on his social media page.
Dharmendra began his creative career in the 1960s and played roles in more than 250 film works. His famous films such as "Seeta Aur Geeta," "Sholay" (Qasos va qonun), and "Dillagi" ("Sevimli Raja") are well-known to Uzbek fans. In the 1980s, he also laid the foundation for the production company "Vijayta Films". In addition to acting and producing, Dharmendra was involved in politics, serving as a deputy in the lower house of the Indian Parliament from 2004 to 2009.
