A soldier and his child died in a fire on the Kazakh border

The fire that occurred at the Narinkol border post located in Kazakhstan’s Almaty region ended in tragedy. According to official information, although the fire in the service building was extinguished in a short time, unfortunately, one military serviceman and his underage child lost their lives.

At present, investigative actions regarding the incident have begun. Specialists are determining the causes of the fire, the level of compliance with safety rules, and the technical condition of the building.

According to available data, it is not yet known how quickly the fire spread and how many employees were inside the building at the time of the incident. The Border Service expressed deep condolences to the family of the deceased serviceman and stated that all necessary assistance is being provided.

This incident once again demonstrated the need for a serious review of the safety infrastructure and the condition of service buildings at the border.
