It became known on social networks that the messages circulating about a “complete ban” on taking photos and videos in the Kaaba and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi during the Hajj season are absolutely unfounded. According to The Islamic Information portal, these claims were spread only by unverified accounts and were not confirmed by official sources.
No government institution or organization related to Hajj and Umrah has officially announced such a ban. According to official information, no new restrictions have been introduced regarding photography in the holy sites.
The current procedure consists of everyday rules: respecting worshippers, not disturbing others, and maintaining general order. These rules remain in force during the seasons of Hajj, Umrah, and Ramadan.
Fake reports once again reminded of the danger of trusting unverified sources on the internet.
