Kazakhstan temporarily bans the import of eggs

Kazakhstan has introduced temporary restrictions on the import of eggs from third countries and countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This was reported by the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the ministry's decree, starting from December 12, a ban has been imposed on the import of new chicken eggs into the country by all types of transport. These restrictions are set for a period of one month.

This ban has been introduced to support local producers. Also, the restriction does not apply to the transit of eggs through EAEU member countries.
