Cambodia–Thailand conflict intensifies
The Cambodian government has closed all border crossings with Thailand. The decision comes as clashes between the two countries’ armed forces continue. Officials say the crossings are temporarily closed to ensure border security.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said the sides had agreed to a ceasefire. However, fighting continued on Saturday. Thai officials reported four soldiers killed. Cambodia has not updated its casualty figures.

Both sides accuse each other of air and rocket attacks. The Cambodian Defence Ministry said Thai military aircraft hit buildings and a bridge. Thailand said civilians were injured in Cambodian rocket attacks. At least 700,000 people have been evacuated from border areas.

The conflict is linked to a long-standing border dispute between Cambodia and Thailand. Despite previous ceasefire agreements, trust between the sides has not been restored. The situation remains tense.
