A woman who was deceived by a fortune teller lost 43 thousand dollars in a cemetery

In Kyrgyzstan, trust and naivety came at a high cost. One woman, hoping to “clear the way” for her business, believed a fortune teller’s advice and buried 43,000 US dollars in cemeteries. This was reported by Caravan info.

According to the report, a citizen identified as O.G. contacted law enforcement authorities and stated that from May until the end of October, a woman who introduced herself as a fortune teller gained her trust through various “rituals.” Under the pretext of “bringing luck to the business,” the suspect demanded that money be left in cemeteries and also used threads, needles, and other “magical objects.”

As a result, abusing the victim’s trust, she obtained a large sum of money and then went into hiding. Officers of the First May District Police Department in Bishkek detained a woman born in 2000, identified as M.K. She has been placed in a temporary detention facility.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic — fraud. Investigative actions are ongoing.

In short, believing in “magic” is the same as throwing money to the wind. Not luck, but vigilance works.
