The possible cause of the tragedy with Chinese tourists on the Baykal was named

The tragedy with the Chinese tourists on the Baykal, apparently, happened due to the dangerous maneuver of the "Bukhanka" driver - he decided to jump through the ice at high speed, but didn't calculate it. This was reported by Mash.
According to preliminary data, the driver was supposed to disembark passengers, but instead continued driving. In the area of the "Three Brothers" Cape, the car pressed against a crack in the ice, got stuck, and immediately went underwater.
Nine Chinese tourists were in the cabin. Only two managed to escape, the remaining seven people died.
As the channel notes, the group was heading to Hoboy. This isn't the first time a vehicle has flown under the ice on the Baykal in recent days - at least two vehicles have already gone underwater. However, drivers continue to lay routes across the lake, ignoring the danger.
