Germany firmly stated that it would not participate in the war with Iran

At a time when the tense situation in the Middle East has attracted the attention of the entire world, the leading European state - Germany - has officially declared its position. During heated debates in the Bundestag, German officials spoke about stopping the flames of war and diplomatic solutions. Zamin.uz analyzed the views of the German government and politicians on the conflict around Iran.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, in his speech in the Bundestag, fully confirmed that official Berlin would not participate in this armed conflict. According to the minister, Germany is not and does not want to be a party to the conflict.
The lack of an "output strategy" is causing concern
Pistorius did not hide his concern about the escalation of hostilities. He emphasized that starting a war is much easier than ending it.
- The main goal: Germany is currently in constant contact with its partners in Israel, the USA, and the European Union to curb violence and mitigate the situation.
- Strategic vacuum: The head of the Defense Department emphasized that there is currently no clear plan for resolving the conflict and that it would be a mistake to resolve the conflict solely through military force.
Different views in political circles
Although the German parliament has a different attitude towards the Iranian regime, everyone is equally concerned about security:
- Norbert Röttgen (XDI): He assessed the weakening of Iran's current "terrorist regime" as a significant achievement for the region and the Iranian people.
- Ines Schwerdtner ("Leftists"): She emphasized that a forced change of power from outside does not bring freedom, but rather can ignite the flames of war. He also reminded that it is necessary to comply with the norms of international law.
- Omid Nuripur ("Greens"): He demanded a complete ban on the activities of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Germany, the freezing of assets of the Iranian leadership, and the initiation of an investigation into crimes.
Germany's statement could be a kind of signal for other European countries as well. Time will tell how official Berlin's choice of the path of peace will affect the overall landscape in the region.
Do you think that such a neutral position of Germany will be supported by other European countries?
