Mirziyoyev called Aliyev: He condemned Iran's drone attacks...

On March 5, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. At the beginning of the conversation, it was noted that the head of our state strongly condemned the attacks on the territory of Azerbaijan by unmanned aerial vehicles and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
During the conversation, it was particularly noted that the escalation of tensions in the Middle East in recent days and the increasing number of civilian casualties are causing serious concern. It was emphasized that such tragedies occurring during the holy month of Ramadan contradict universal human values, international norms, and the principles of territorial integrity of states.
The most practical and important issue is the safety of citizens. The leader of Uzbekistan expressed gratitude to Ilham Aliyev for the measures taken and the conditions created for the safe evacuation of citizens of Uzbekistan from Iran through the territory of Azerbaijan. Aliyev, in turn, thanked for the support and friendly dialogue.
On the same day, the situation escalated around the airport in the Azerbaijani city of Nakhchivan: according to the media and official reports, the drone attack damaged airport buildings and injured people. The Azerbaijani leader sharply assessed the incident and convened a meeting of the Security Council.
The conclusion is simple: today it's not just about diplomacy - it's about getting people alive and well, reducing risks, and keeping the situation under control. Especially at a time when the region is in a state of nervous tension, every agreement, every corridor, every support is becoming a real path to salvation.
