Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Larijani, reacted sharply to Donald Trump's statement on social media.
Larijani emphasized that the Iranian people draw strength from historical and spiritual values. He said that Iranian society, inspired by the spirit of Ashura, is not afraid of any threats or pressure.
"The Iranian people, inspired by Ashura, are not afraid of your empty threats. Forces far superior to you could not destroy them. So be careful, you might be the one who gets lost!," he emphasized.
The politician also said that the Iranian people have endured various pressures and difficulties throughout their long history, but each time they emerged from these trials even stronger. In his opinion, external threats, instead of breaking the country's will, on the contrary, further strengthen unity and determination.
